Can't find it in OPAC?
Some books published between 1851 and 1943—and in some cases between 1944 and 1979—have not yet been added to the online catalog. You can use the search request form to ask the University Library to search for these items in its internal records.

Interlibrary loans service
- Eligible
- Students and staff of LMU Munich
- Cost
- National interlibrary loans service free of charge, for international orders, please inquire about costs at the interlibrary loans office (fernleihe@ub.uni-muenchen.de)
- Delivery
- 1–4 weeks, notification by e-mail when an interlibrary loans service order is ready for pickup.
- Order
- Directly via Gateway Bayern or via the “Interlibrary Loans Service” button at the bottom left of the OPAC.
- Pickup
- At information desk (UB.info) or as a PDF download.
- Exceptions
- Literature available in Munich (even if currently on loan or only available for viewing on site).
Theses (master's, bachelor's, diploma, magister, and exam theses);
Paperbacks, if available in bookstores for up to 15 euros;
