As part of the LMU Sustainability Week 2026, the University Library is hosting an event on sustainable data management
Digital information is part of everyday life - from personal documents and photos to coursework and research data. The University Library is therefore hosting an event entitled "Sustainable Data Management: Organising, Protecting, and Preserving Digital Information" as part of the LMU Sustainability Week 2026.
At the event, you will learn practical strategies to organize digital files, develop consistent naming conventions, create reliable backups, choose interoperable file formats, archive important information, and confidently delete unnecessary data. Sustainable data management helps protect valuable information, reduces unnecessary storage, and makes digital files easier to find, and reuse.
