New: via medici by Thieme

Via medici by Thieme is an information and learning platform for medical students. The platform offers more than 3,500 multimedia learning modules, linked to over 35,000 IMPP and expert questions (practice questions) and more than 180 up-to-date digital textbooks (eRef), as well as additional content for medical studies, including study plans, clinical cases, image-based diagnostic cases, courses, 3D anatomy, an image database, and more.

Lecturers can integrate via medici into their teaching as an educational platform by individually compiling content and supplementing it with external materials. The progress of course participants can also be monitored in individually created sessions.

Please note: In accordance with a decision by the Study Grant Commission of the funding Medical Faculty, the institutional access to the Amboss database will be discontinued from 2027 in connection with the licensing of via medici.

Via medici is now available online to all members of LMU.

Use of the platform requires one-time registration with Thieme. A separate registration page is available for lecturers.
